So, my prediction was that the £ would end trading today at least 5% down on its value yesterday.
According to the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business/market_data/currency/11/12/intraday.stm
The £ is currently 8.7% down against the US dollar and 6.4% down against the Euro. It is down from 4.7% (Norweigen Kroner) to 11.8% (Japanese Yen) across the whole range of currencies.
I’d count that as a win, even if it is of a rather Pyrrhic kind.
I’d rather like to stop making these predictions now, but here’s one – Boris to take over leadership of the Tories in the autumn.
